I moved to North Carolina from New York and Brogden will always have a special place in my heart. The staff was wonderful and I loved coming in everyday to work with the students.
I used to teach at Brogden Middle School (Social Studies 2008-2015)
I coached the Brogden Boys' Soccer team and we won the Durham Athletic Conference Tournament in 2015. That is one of my fondest memories.

I started my teaching career at Brogden right after graduating from college. I taught all grade levels and subjects and for my last 15 years there, I taught 7th grade science.
I taught all subjects and grade levels at Brogden for 30 years at Brogden
I have MANY fond memories at Brogden, where all of them consist of the wonderful people ( students, parents, and faculty that were a part of my life for those 30 years.) I am so Thankful for my experience there and Brogden will always be very special to me!

The new administration led by Dr. Lanier is extremely engaged and operating as a change-agent to enhance the Brogden experience. They have supported more extra-curricular activities with higher quality programming and greater student and family attendance than last year. I'm excited to see what comes next.

Ms. Huber, who teaches chorus, guided my daughter's transformation from a non-singer into an enthusiastic on-stage performer.

I'm a current sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania studying electrical engineering.
I attended from 2010-2013.
Brodgen was where I first started learning "real" math, and I absolutely loved my Algebra and Geometry classes in seventh and eighth grade. It was the first class I was ever in where I was treated like an adult, given all the information I needed but still left to think and problem-solve for myself. This mindset of problem solving based on a basic knowledge of the principles behind a topic has led me to love engineering and be studying it at an Ivy League school.

I am the Mayor of Durham and an ardent supporter of Brogden Middle School and of all our Durham Public Schools.
My son attended Brogden for middle school, and I coached boys and girls soccer there for several years
My son got a great education at Brogden, and I immensely enjoyed coaching soccer there every afternoon for several years. I started with my son's team needed a coach, and then I got hooked on Brogden and its students and teachers. The faculty was wonderful, and I loved the diversity of the student body.

B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Columbia University, May 2019
Former student
My time at Brogden helped me develop the skills and mindset I’ve used both in my time at Columbia and during my internships. Brogden’s teachers fostered a love of learning in me that will never go away.
